The Y believes that everyone deserves the chance to succeed. Regardless of your financial situation, we will work with you to receive all the benefits of our membership. Financial assistance can be applied to all memberships whether it is youth, adult or household. It can also be applied to programs such as childcare, swim lessons, youth sports, and more! Through the generosity of donors, we are able to provide programs and services to those who may not otherwise be able to participate. In 2017, over $253,000 was donated through our Annual Campaign to help fund our Financial Assistance program.
Applying for financial assistance is easy and confidential! Complete an application either online or pick one up at our Member Services desk. Submit your proof of income (last year’s Federal IRS 1040 form, most recent pay stub, or other documentation such as unemployment, social security, etc.…). Once your application has been processed, which takes about 2 weeks, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment with our Director of Spiritual Development, Bruce Osborn.
The Y is committed to strengthening our community based on the unique needs of those we serve. Bruce meets one on one with new applicants so he can get to know them to make sure we are meeting their needs and connecting them will all possible resources. For Bruce, “We always meet with those who make an initial application to our financial assistance program. To know that we are simply the messengers, or the bridge between our generous community of donors and the recipients is truly humbling. It’s a highlight of any day to see the joy on an individual’s face when they learn that their family can be a part of the Y, regardless of their income.”
The Y has a pricing model that makes membership accessible and affordable. Collectively, we can make a difference and an impact for healthier living in spirit, mind, and body for all.
