At the Y, we’re dedicated to strengthening community by giving back and supporting our neighbors.
And we know that members like you have lots of ideas and the desire to reach out to make positive changes in our community.
That’s why we invite you to participate in Togetherhood™, a program that gives Y members the opportunity to select, plan and lead meaningful community service projects that benefit people and organizations right here in our neighborhood!
Togetherhood™ invites members to participate in the Y’s cause to strengthen community. Collecting school supplies, donating blood, or running a park clean up are just some of the countless ways Y members and their friends and families can come together in service to their community.
What would you do to make our community better?
You may have joined the Y as a place to improve your well-being, help your kids learn
and grow, or connect with others who share your interests.
Now, your membership can mean even more. As a part of the leading charity committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, you can play a role in making our community stronger.
Are you someone who loves gardening? And do you love making a difference in our community? Then the Y’s Community Garden may just be the right fit for you!
This year’s Community Garden was a great success! Over the course of the summer, produce was donated to our
Oconomowoc Food Pantry to serve individuals and families in our area with fresh vegetables. In addition to these donations, we made much of our harvest available to our
members and community through our own weekly farmer’s market. Thanks to our
teen volunteers, and the donations we received from you, our Community Garden
raised over $250 to go toward future garden improvements. Do you enjoy gardening? This Community Garden project is a great way to serve the community. Let us know
of your interest.
Did you know?
The YMCA at Pabst Farms has adopted a section of roadway for litter control. Through our Social Responsibility focus, we are helping our lake country communities by keeping the roads clean.
We now are the proud parents of Cty Hwy DR, from Cty Hwy P, east to Mill Rd. (the section of the highway that crosses the waterway between Upper and Lower Nemahbin Lakes.) Look for us in our bright green vests this summer! And look for ways you and your family can partner with the Y in being socially responsible in our community!
Be a part of this exciting new program by serving on our planning committee. For more information on how to get involved, contact Bruce Osborn today at (262) 567-7251, x145.
