AOA Drop-in classes included in membership!

AOA STRENGTH AND STABILITY:

This class targets the older adult and addresses mobility, strength and balance to improve posture, facilitate the activities of daily living and reduce the risk of falling.


Monday       11:20-12:05 pm


SIT TO BE FIT:

Improve fitness while sitting and using your chair for support. Includes stretching, aerobic exercise and strengthening while utilizing hand weights, resistance bands and exercise balls. Beginner to moderately-high fitness levels are accommodated. Y Member FREE  

Monday, Wednesday & Friday     12:15-1:00 pm


T3: TRIM, TONE AND TIGHTEN:

Emphasis on strength and flexibility using a chair and standing to do exercises. Low to moderately high fitness leves are accommodated. 

Tuesday       12:30-1:15 pm 

CHAIR YOGA:

A new class to practice yoga while sitting and using your chair for support. Improve muscle tone and balance, all while learning better breathing techniques and reducing stress. This class is ideal for everyone including those with health restrictions, decreased range of motion or physical challenges.    

Tuesday & Thursday       8:00-8:45 am

AOA CARDIO FITNESS:

A low intensity cardio workout followed by strength and flexibility that includes floor exercises. Participants should be able to get up and down from the floor.    

Monday & Friday     9:00-9:45 am at the Life Enrichment Center 
Wednesday 
      11:20-12:05 pm at the YMCA

AOA YOGA:

Held at Life Enrichment Center.

ZUMBA GOLD:

Zumba Gold uses the same dance moves as the original Zumba class with less intense dance routines designed for beginners and older adults. The longer warm up and cool down allows participants to improve balance, flexibility and cardiovascular strength. Perfect for anyone just beginning a fitness program.

PARKINSON’S EXERCISE:

For individuals with Parkinson’s disease designed and led by Aurora physical therapists and Y wellness coaches. Working on balance, flexibility and muscular strength as well as vocal therapy.  Participants must obtain medical clearance and be evaluated by class instructors prior to enrollment.

TUESDAY/FRIDAY      12:30-1:30 pm

WINTER I & II:    $32 Y Member • $60 CP (per session)



COMMUNITY OUTREACH FITNESS:

Classes held at the Life Enrichment Center,
1305 W. Wisconsin Ave, Oconomowoc

AOA CARDIO FITNESS:
A low-impact workout that works on flexibility, strength and balance. Classes are designed to improve one’s energy, endurance and quality of life.

AOA YOGA:
Active Older Adults have unique health challenges and many times experience tight and weak muscles. Learn simple yoga exercises to improve muscle strength, endurance, flexibility and range of motion. Our goal is for you to find a new quality of life in becoming and being an ACTIVE OLDER ADULT!
