Special Olympics

Our Y is a proud sponsor of Special Olympics softball, volleyball, flag football, bocce, bowling, team basketball, swimming and track & field. All new Special Olympics participants must have a medical form completed prior to the start of the program.  Click here to download these forms.

 

SPECIAL OLYMPICS BASKETBALL:

(Ages 8 & up) 
Participants should be ready to play at a team level competition. Optional participation in the WI Special Olympics competition. Games will be scheduled throughout the season with other area teams. Practices held at Greenland Elementary School. Season runs Nov. 12, 2018 - Apr. 2019.

Monday    5:15-7:15 pm    (Time played depends on team)    
FEE: $40 Y Member • $50 CP for the season

SPECIAL OLYMPICS VOLLEYBALL:

(Ages 8 & up)
Compete in a team sport, and learn basic volleyball skills, including serving, returning and volleying. Games will be scheduled throughout the season with other area teams. Practice begins Sept. 5.

Wednesday   6:00-7:00 pm    
FEE: $40 Y Member • $50 CP for the season

 

 

SPECIAL OLYMPICS SWIM TEAM PRACTICE:

(Ages 8 & up)
Learn or fine-tune specific techniques and strokes to become more competitive for Special Olympics competition. Must be able to swim 2 lengths of the competitive pool independently.

FALL I: $64 Y Member • $74 CP     FALL II: $56 Y Member • $66 CP (no class 11/21)

SPECIAL OLYMPICS BOWLING:

(Ages 8 & up) 
Join your friends for an afternoon of bowling weekly Sept-Nov, Special Olympics Competition optional

Saturday  12:00-2:00 pm   Sussex Bowl
FEE: $40 Y Member • $50 CP for the season
$9 per week to bowl for 2 hours unlimited bowling and shoe rental

 

We will maintain a 4:1 (participant:staff) ratio for all programs. If your participant requires less than a 4:1 ratio, accommodations must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the program. We cannot accommodate all 1:1 requests so please request early! Please contact Jodi Dabrowski for any other accommodations necessary for participation.

All Special Programs participants are required to have a Participant Care Form
on file prior to participation. The form is available online or at Member Services.
