BUILDING SPEED/STRENGTH FOR TEENS:

(Ages 12-15)
We’ll combine progressive speed/agility drills with circuit style strength training to help promote efficient movement patterns, improved cardio fitness, improved joint stability, increased strength and help prevent muscle imbalances during this important growth period.

FUN & FUNCTION

This fun, functional, conditioning class uses a variety of games to burn off your child’s energy in a structured, supervised environment. The instructor will ensure proper movement patterns as well as build confidence in individual athleticism.

ROADRUNNERS YOUTH DISTANCE RUNNING CLUB: 

(Ages 10-15)
June 11 - July 25 (no class the week of July 4th)
A program designed to prepare youth for distance running. Participants will learn the specifics of running and racing longer distances. Emphasis will be on teamwork, efficiency, proper form & mental and physical stamina.

POWER & AGILITY:

(Ages 13-17)
This 6-week athletic program is for all student athletes between the ages of
13-17 wanting to improve explosive power and quickness while improving overall body conditioning. This program will enhance athletic performance, build character and encourage teamwork.

Class will be taught by former collegiate athlete, Spencer Ritt who is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

June 12 - July 26 (no class the week of July 4th)

TRI 4 SCHOOLS: EXERCISE TO ACHIEVEMENT

(Ages 7-14) 
Does your child like to swim, bike, or run? Want to make new friends and try 
the challenge of completing a triathlon? Then join us this summer for Exercise to Achievement, a program designed to help your child complete a triathlon in 
6 weeks! Athletes will conclude this program by competing in the Tri-ing for Children’s Youth Triathlon on July 28, 2018. Register by June 1st.

June 11 - July 28 (no class the week of July 4th)

All classes are coached by YMCA staff. Subsidized registrations available.

YOUTH CARDIO PRIVILEGES:
7-9 yr old:
 May use track, with parent/guardian.

10-12 yr old: Welcome to use select cardio equipment and track after the Wellness Center policy agreement is signed, with an adult next to them. Take free Group Exercise classes with a parent. Cycling classes not included.

13-15 yr old: Allowed to use the Wellness Center independently after orientation and waiver is signed by a parent. Can also use Free Weight area after an additional orientation. Group exercise classes also available to this age group.

16+ year old: Free access to the entire Wellness Center.
